Myanmar Amazing Discovery Tour
Yangon – Mandalay – Bagan - Popa – Inle - Yangon Day 1 Yangon Arrival Arrival at YANGON airport in the morning. Transfer and check in at the hotel and Lunch at the Royal Garden Restaurant. In the afternoon, drive through downtown area overwhelming with the past colonial era and visit SULE Pagoda. Then continue to BOTATHAUNG Pagoda, just closed to Yangon River. Stop alongside KANDAWGYI LAKE to take photographs of Shwedagon. Enjoy the sunset at the world wide famous SHWEDAGON Pagoda, the 'heart' of Buddhist in Myanmar. Dinner at Restaurant and accommodation at Hotel, Yangon. Day 2 Yangon – Mandalay Late morning, after breakfast at the hotel, take the domestic flight to Mandalay. From the airport, start your morning MANDALAY sightseeing with a visit to MAHAMUNI Pagoda, Mandalay's holiest Buddha statue. Check into your hotel in the late morning. Lunch at restaurant in the afternoon, and then visit SHWENANDAW MONASTERY, an ancient wooden building with intricate carvings. Continue to KUTHODAW to see the 'world's largest book', being the Buddhist Scriptures inscribed on marble slabs. Enjoy spectacular views at sunset from MANDALAY HILL. Dinner at restaurant and accommodation at hotel, Mandalay. Day 3 Mandalay Sightseeing After Breakfast at the hotel, boat trip to MINGUN, site of a brick pagoda towering 50 meters high near Ayeyarwady River and visit the world's largest intact ringing bell. The boat trip is interesting because you will see all types of wooden boats and bamboo rafts, carrying goods up and down the river. Return to Mandalay for lunch at Restaurant. In the afternoon, visit picturesque SAGAING HILL. Hillsides are dotted with numerous pagodas and monasteries. Return to AMARAPURA via the AVA BRIDGE, built by British engineers. Walk over U-BEIN BRIDGE, which is over a kilometer long and made entirely of teak. Return to Mandalay and a brief fresh up at hotel. Dinner at restaurant and accommodation at hotel. Day 4 Mandalay - Bagan MANDALAY - BAGAN (By Boat) After Breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the banks of the AYEYARWADY RIVER to catch the SHWE KEINNARY BOAT to Bagan. Enjoy the flavorsome Lunch on boat. The scenery along the Ayeyarwady is timeless - oxen working in the fields, water buffalo wallowing in the mud along the river side, golden pagoda spires, fishermen, villagers bathing in the river and, of course, every type of boat and river craft that you can imagine with the heartfelt natural scenery. Enjoy the sunset from the boat. Transfer to your hotel. Dinner and night stop at hotel. Day 5 Bagan Sightseeing After Breakfast, Start your ancient archeological ambiance full day BAGAN sightseeing with a visit to the golden stupa of SHWEZIGON Pagoda. , which is Bagan's most important reliquary shrine. See 12th Century frescoes adorning the corridors of KYANSITTHA 'Cave' Temple. Continue to Gupyaukgyi (wetkyi Inn Village), then ANANDA Temple, a whitewashed masterpiece of Mon architecture with four standing Buddhas. Lunch at Restaurant. In the afternoon, visit MINGALAZEDI, the last of the large Pagodas built in the 13th Century. Continue to the Myinkaba village area and visit GUBYAUKGYI Temple, with its fine stucco work and impressive mural painting. Visit NANPAYA Temple, said once to have been King Manuha's residence. Then stop at MYAZEDI Stupa to see Myanmar's "Impressive Stone Inscription", bearing written in four languages. Stop at A LACQUER WARE factory to watch most famous of Bagan handicrafts. Board on boat for SUNSET CRUISE in Ayeyarwady River. Dinner at Restaurant. Accommodation at Hotel, Bagan. Day 6 Bagan – Popa - Bagan Breakfast at hotel. Drive out of Bagan to visit MOUNT POPA, Oasis of the Dry Land with the home of Myanmar's intriguing 'nats' (spirits). The steps and path climb steeply up Mount Popa an energetic climb rewarded by fabulous views from the top. Lunch at restaurant. In the afternoon, drive back to Bagan. Visit the rest of Bagan monuments or leisure at the hotel. Dinner at Restaurant. Accommodation at hotel, Bagan. Day 7 Bagan - Inle Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Bagan Airport. Take the domestic flight to Heho. Transfer from Heho airport to Nyaungshwe near Inle Lake and board on local boat to take you to your hotel. Lunch at hotel. In the afternoon boat trip on INLE LAKE – over the crystal clear water dotted with floating Vegetation Garden afloat on lake and fishing canoes, to which scenic high hills provide the perfect backdrop. Visit PHAUNG DAW OO Pagoda, the holiest religious site in southern Shan State. Then visit Inn Paw Khon for SILK WEAVING on wooden handlooms and a very unique high quality Lotus fiber weaving. Pass endless Floating Gardens, where fruit and vegetables are grown. Continue by boat to visit NGA PHE KYAUNG (Jumping Cats Monastery) one of the oldest monasteries on the lake and one can see ancient Buddha statues which are more than 200 years old. Dinner and accommodation at hotel, in Inle Lake. Day 8 Inle Sightseeing Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy the boat tour to INDAING, at the western end of the Lake. The boat takes you through a long canal where you watch the farmers cultivate their products; harrowing water buffaloes. This ride is one of the most scenic boat tours on Lake Inle. Lunch at Nampan Restaurant, located in the middle of the lake. In the afternoon, visit MAING THAUK on the edge of Inle Lake by boat. Walk up a dirt track through the village and continue up the hill to a stupa which has fantastic views out over the lake and surrounding hills. The walk takes around 2 hours round trip and the route is not steep. Dinner and accommodation at hotel, at Inle Lake. Day 9 Inle – Yangon (Yangon Sightseeing & RV Mahaythi Cocktail Cruise) After Breakfast at the hotel leave hotel by boat, and then drive to Heho Airport. Domestic flight from Heho to Yangon. Arrive at Yangon Airport and transfer to hotel. Lunch at La Padonmar Restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the newly renovated five storeys NATIONAL MUSEUM, the collection of Myanmar Album. Then visit to BOGYOKE (SCOTT) MARKET (close on Monday and Gazette Holidays) to see Myanmar's wide range of handicrafts and Souvenirs. Late afternoon, walk along the Yangon River to see the busy harbor's area. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel. Day 10 Inle – Yangon (Departure by Morning Flight) After breakfast at the hotel, leave for Yangon sightseeing and transfer to Yangon International Airport for the departure flight. |
