This is the Famous place for its jade mine.

The jade mine at Hpakant can be visited by booking with the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism although the town is sometime closed to Foreigners.

If you are here, you might have a chance to stand on the biggest imperial jade boulder in the world (21 meter long and 10.6 meter in circumference), down a 12 meter shaft with safety ladders.
